To support literacy for all ages and help record family histories, CIPA ELF works with senior centers and assisted living communities to provide guidance and professional assistance to senior citizens and their families on the writing and preservation of memoirs, stories, poetry, and photographs to be handed down through generations.

Guided Autobiography Workshops: Register now!

Have you ever wanted to write your life story but don't know where to start? Our Guided Autobiography Workshops are designed to help you unlock your memories and write your most meaningful stories. 

 

No Writing Experience Necessary

You don't need to be a writer to share your story! Our workshops are designed to help anyone create a meaningful narrative of their life.

Program Overview

• The course meets for four weeks in two-hour Zoom sessions designed to help you find your creative muse and hone your writing skills. The cost for the workshop is $160 for eight hours of course time ($40 per session).

• Between classes, you will write a two-page story, inspired by a list of prompts and our weekly discussion. 

• Each week you will share what you’ve written in an encouraging, confidential, and appreciative environment.
